Two: The Analysis Essay
This chapter includes directions
on "How to Write the Analysis Essay" and twelve timed tests. Each
of these tests include sections for marking up the passage or poem, a checklist
to specifically guide the reading, writing, and grading of each essay,
and space to write the essay.

This chapter include directions
on how to take "Coded Notes." This is followed by several timed tests.
Each of these timed essay tests include sections for taking coded notes,
a checklist to specifcally guide the reading, writing, and grading of each
