 Day  3 Discussion of major differences between the film and the novel.

1.  Focus:                 Journal: Have you ever been accused of doing something seriously wrong?
                                  If so, what did you do?  How did you react?  If now, how would you 
                                  react if you were accused of a crime but not told what you had done?

2.  Objective:           To participate in a comparison-contrast discussion of the film
                                  version of the story and to write a follow-up contrast essay.

3.  Purpose:             To  recognize and to explain the differences between the movieís
                                  interpretation of Kafkaís original story.

4.  Input:                 o  Before viewing the film: Plot-check quiz of the novel followed
                                 by discussion of two basic questions of interpretation.
